The skin I rebuilt, product by product

Treatment wrecked my skin and my hair, and getting them back was slow, unglamorous work. This is my actual shelf: acne-prone, dehydrated, easily irritated, and a lot better than it was.

Everything here is linked to Shopee. I earn a small commission if you buy through my links, at no cost to you. I only list what I've paid for myself.

Cleanse

Oil first, then something gentle. I learned to stop scrubbing my skin into submission. The Cetaphil is boring and that's the point; the delphyr toner is the one I keep repurchasing because it hydrates without stinging.

Breakouts and the marks they leave

The Blanc Nature cream is the single most reordered thing on this entire site. Thirteen times. It's what I use on active spots and on the marks afterwards, and the Troiareuke solution is the overnight spot treatment that doesn't dry the area into a flake.

Hydrate and repair

This is where the glow actually comes from. Layers of water-based hydration, then something that tells skin to rebuild. Rejuran and the Revenip ampoule are the splurges; the Rovectin essence is the everyday workhorse I've bought three times.

When my barrier is wrecked

Some weeks my skin just gives up: red, tight, reactive to everything. On those weeks I strip the routine back to one of these four and nothing else. No actives, no experiments, just repair until it calms down.

Sunscreen, every single day

Non-negotiable, even indoors, even on the days I'm not leaving the house. Round Lab is the one I've repurchased six times: no white cast, no sting, sits fine under makeup.

The night before I need to look rested

Two overnight masks for the weeks when sleep isn't cooperating. The Biodance one is the viral one and, annoyingly, it deserves it.

Everyday face

Light coverage, warm tones, five minutes. I'd rather my skin look like skin. The Wakemake shading is the one I've bought five times; shade 01 if you're warm-toned like me.

Hair and scalp

Losing hair changes how you see yourself in a way I wasn't prepared for. Getting it back has been about the scalp first: the tonic and serum for growth, the mask for the damage, and a shampoo that doesn't make everything worse.
